We started our day with breakfast with our friends Dan and Katie before heading out to London. After breakfast, we got on the road and headed towards London.
We returned our car at the Heathrow airport, which concluded our 1,109 miles drive over the course of nine days, from Scotland to Wales to London. We boarded the Heathrow Express train and headed to Paddington Station to catch our train to Victoria Station. Upon arriving, we immediately checked in to our bed and breakfast near Buckingham Palace. After getting settled we walked 2.75 miles to retrieve our hospitality passes that were included in our Olympic ticket package. It has been quite the experience with all the cultures and excessive amounts of people; it feels a lot like New York City Time Square, and is quite the change from Northern Wales. Check out our pictures from our first day in London:
We are looking forward to a busy day of events tomorrow:
Gymnastics- Men’s Finals: Rings and Vault
Women’s Finals: Parallel Bars
Table Tennis
