Down Under 2014 - Day 12 - Adelaide

Thursday, June 12, 2014

Today we spent the morning exploring the German Township of Hahndorf. It was a "Little Germany" in the middle of South Australia. From time to time we had to remind ourselves that we were in Australia and not in Germany. We had fun shopping in the village for unique Australian gifts and Aboriginal artwork. After our morning shopping adventure, it was off to visit the Cleland Wildlife Park!

Zeb's new Aussie hat.
Amanda did quite a bit of research in finding this unique and fun experience for us at the Cleland Wildlife Park. This wildlife park included "Cuddling a Koala" experience as well as feeding and interacting with all types of native Australian animals. The highlight of the day was watching Zeb's face light up like a child as he interacted, played, and fed baby wallabies, large Red Kangaroos, Koalas, and then was stalked by an Emu. There are just some experiences that words cannot describe and pictures cannot capture the true enjoyment-taking place.
