Zermatt, CH - Day 8 & 9
Saturday, January 3, 2015 & Sunday January 4, 2015
Today was the last day of our trip and we were looking forwad to our train ride from Zermatt to Zurich. We love traveling by train and we enjoyed the gorgeous and relaxing end to our trip. Once we arrived in Zurich we went back to the Sprungli Chocolate Factory for lunch and had some great chocolate desserts. After lunch, we did a little shopping and revisited some of the places we enjoyed in Zurich in 2013.
Sunday we got up very early to head to the airport. The flight to Newark, NJ from Zurich took about 9 and a half hours and once we got to Newark we quickly figured out that our flight was canceled to Omaha due to bad weater in Newark. Unfortunately, due to all the cancellation we had to spend an extra night in Newark and we ended up having to fly to Omaha through Denver, Colorado the next morning. Once we got home we were curious to see if our luggage was going to make it, but some how it actually beat us home.
All in all, it was an incredible trip in a beautiful country, we were extremely blessed to be able to combine our love for Europe and our love for snowboarding.
