Zermatt, CH - Day 1

Friday, December 26, 2014 & Saturday, Decmeber 27, 2014

Today we left for our anniversary trip to "Nowhere". When we first booked this trip we decided not to tell any friends or family because we wanted to keep everything a secret.  Leading up to the day we left - we received predictions on where we were going, here were a few: Dubai, The Grand Canyon, South Africa, Germany, Hawaii, Puerto Rico. To make this interesting, we decided that we were going to make this reveal into a game.

Here were the four clues:

Upon arriving in Zermatt, we made our way to our B&B apartment in the heart of the village. We chose the same B&B that we stayed at in June 2013 but this time opted for an apartment for more space and hominess. That evening, we walked around the village as it was snowing, dodging skiers skiing through town, children being pulled on toboggans, and horse drawn carriages making their way down the streets. It was a picturesque first evening and a huge difference from Nebraska.

Well, that does it for our first post. We spent 24 hours traveling to get here and we are very excited for the fun week ahead.
