Forever West 2015 - Day 8: Banff, Canda

Thursday, June 11, 2015

Today, we set out to visit Johnston Canyon, Lake Moraine, and Lake Louise. Luckily, all of these were in a relatively close area.

We first started out visiting and hiking at Johnston Canyon. It was a lovely and picturesque area with gorgeous waterfalls. We were there early enough that we beat the crowds and rarely encountered anyone.

After taking in the beauty of Moraine Lake, we were headed off to the infamous Lake Louise. After having lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise we hiked a somewhat steep hill to have a view overlooking the late and resort.

After a lovely visit to Lake Louise, we went to the ski area of Lake Louise. We had read that there was a sectioned off area on the mountainwith free roaming black bears. We chose to take the chairlifts to the top, walk around, and try to spot the free roaming bears.
