Europe 2013 - Day 18: Switzerland to Liechtenstein

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Today was a big day of travel. We started in Neuchatel, Switzerland and ended in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. On our way we did take time and we stopped in Grenchen, Switzerland, which is where Breitling has their headquarters. Then we stopped for lunch in Lucerne, Switzerland and then continued onto Liechtenstein. Once we got to Liechtenstein, we visited the Gutenberg Castle in Balzers, which is in the south end of the small European country. We then took a drive to the far eastern side of the country by visiting the small town of Malbun, the mountains were beautiful there, but they still had snow covering some of the roads, and the mountains created amazing sites. We then proceeded to the north side of the country and went into Austria, so that made 3 countries in only 1 day. We are staying on the west side of the country in Vaduz. The country is only about 62 square miles and 36,000 people, so it is very tiny. It was a long day in the car, but the views were amazing and the drive was a great time.

In front of Breitling’s headquarters, Zeb toured this factory in 2005
